  1. MDF Terminal Block & Plug type xDSL Splitter MAT-54 ; IDC MDF Terminal Block and Plug type xDSL Splitter Aug. 2011

  2. MAT-54 MDF IDC Terminal Block, Plug type xDSL Splitter Scope Today’s central offices are already overcrowded, with little room available for installing new xDSL splitter terminal blocks, which merge both voice and data input and provide line outputs to subscribers. Also, in many current layouts, separate splitters are located on racks on the Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM). This means that additional cabling has to be used to link the DSLAM to the Main Distribution Frame (MDF). This solution is to integrate the splitters with the terminal block, making it a fully filtered block. Connections are made by an Insulation Displacement Contact (IDC). A further feature is that the block can be installed on the subscriber side of the MDF, adapting to your insisting space. Thus, migration of the xDSL splitter produces important savings for you by eliminating extra cables, lowering manpower costs, and making all future modifications rapid, and simple.

  3. Features • High density: you get more lines or ports in the same space • Easy installation: since the three accesses (voice input, data input, • line output) are conveniently separated • Easy test: since the three access connection points are located • close to each other at the front • Adaptability: can be installed on subscriber side of the MDF, thus • fitting into available space • Easy access and maintenance: the 7 splitter cards can be pivoted • or removed without causing any strain on the wires, or having to • disconnect subscribers • Reduces components (racks, splitter shelves, patch cables, MDF • blocks, etc.)
