  2. Glass is a material that is all around us every day. Just to begin with, almost everyone lives in a property that has windows. They keep the cold out, and if double-glazed, help to keep the heat out in the summer. It is a wonderful material because it protects us from the weather – rain, snow, hail, and so on – and we often don’t notice that it is there because we can see straight through it.
