  1. Worst Winter 2013 By Solomon Thomas, Curtis heard and Luke Harmsworth

  2. It’s Coming 2013/14 Winter 2013 into 2014 is forecast to be severe with above average snowfall and freezing temperatures. Long range weather forecasts have predicted Arctic gales resulting in 2 feet-deep snow drifts right up until February. Snow forecasts think much of the country will be hit by heavy snow with no stop, and going way into next year. The experts say winter could bring chaos, a bit like the winter of 2010/11 which saw airports close and roads grind to a standstill for months.

  3. How will KESW react

  4. Disaster Plans KESW has a very sophisticated emergency plan for any disaster that could occur, ranging from snow storms to impact from falling debris to the ground. There are 3 copies of these disaster plans located around the school. There is only so much you can do in a disaster and the san isn’t equipped or big enough for a major disaster. In the documents it does state and have plans so that the san can spread over the school. They have tried to include every disaster possible but you know anything can happen.

  5. The school might face a Blackout

  6. There is the big chance of blackouts, in other words no power. KESW has a generator that can last for a while. Electricity will be the least of our worries though. With all this snow delivery vans of food for the school will not be able to get to the school, and it will be the last of their worries to try to. KESW `S kitchen has enough food to last for 3 days at the most but if our kitchens are prepared we may be able to last for a few more days. Using everything from dry stocks to frozen, we might even have to ration if it gets bad enough!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Be ready for winter 2013/14
