  3. Background • LWCC is private, mutual worker’s compensation company chartered by the state • First policy written in October 1992 • Support over 1,200 agents • 18,000 policyholders • 2005: 325 emps; 2010: 260 emps • PMO Implemented in 2005

  4. Business Case for the PMO • Major Goals: • Improve Overall Successful Project Implementation • Raise the Project Management maturity Level of the Organization

Creating the PMO • Important Factors • Executive Sponsorship • A Clear and Repeatable Process • Communicate, Communicate, Communicate • Address PMO’s affect on the Organization • Improved Corporate Project Decision Making • Project Delivery: On-time, Within Budget, Within Scope • Accountability • Increased Customer Satisfaction • PMO’s Are Not “one size fits all”
