Implement the UW System Climate Survey and develop an action plan based on the results. • UW-Stout is part of a 3rd round of UW System institutions to participate in the Climate survey • Survey has been developed by a consultant, Sue Rankin • Survey will be administered during spring semester 2011

Focus attention on developing and implementing an Inclusive Excellence action plan… • Diversity Leadership team conducted a series of listening sessions with faculty, staff and students • The committee is in the process of reviewing that feedback and developing an action plan • Action plan will be finalized and implemented in fall 2010, and will be updated annually

  4. Implement the proposal for the Faculty Diversity Exchange pilot program… • Visiting faculty network diversity program in STEM centered on: • Sustainability • Nanotechnology and Materials Science • First step is 2-4 day visit of the HBCU faculty to Stout

  5. Implement the proposal for the Faculty Diversity Exchange pilot program… • Once partnership is established, faculty member will have a visiting appointment for one academic year plus summer support • Long-term goal: create a research center where visiting teacher/scholars can conduct research

Implement the Polytechnic learning recommendations… 5 actions to “endorse, disseminate, and promote” the learning goals and resources discussed in the study’s findings: • The Senate endorses the learning goals and resources statement. • The Senate disseminates this information to departments, program directors and individual faculty and engages them in discussion of how they are and can implement the goals in their courses and programs.
