SHO/ST3 applications • Points for each section and those with the highest score will be: • Shortlisted for interviews • More likely to get the job and their first hospital pick(combined with interview score) • Build your portfolio to ensure obtaining highest score possible and demonstrating commitment to specialty

SHO/ST3 application • Additional undergraduate degrees and qualifications (max 10 points) • Intercalated BSc (1/2.1/2.2) • Postgraduate degrees and qualifications (max 10 points) • PhD, MD, MPhil • Additional achievements (max 10 points) • National Prizes, High achievement award, Distinction, Medical School Prizes

SHO/ST3 application • MRCP UK (max 14 points) • Presentations/Posters (max 6 points) • Oral at national/international or regional, poster at national/international or regional, local meeting • Publications (max 8 points) • First author, multiple, pubmed cited, original research • Teaching experience (max 10 points) • Organise a teaching course at regional level, attended formal teaching courses • Clinical audit and quality improvement (max 10 points) • Lead, organise and complete the audit cycle
