Select the continent and city pair that best matches your location, such as Europe and Roma. Copy the time zone to the system. For example, for Europe and Roma, enter cp /usr/share/zoneinfo/Europe/Roma /etc/localtime Update the java environment by completing the following: Add the time information to the /etc/profile file. Verify that the change occurred by checking the Server Date updated on your Q-Advisor (System Admin > Scheduler) is the easiest place to check To change the local time in the Q-Advisor, use a monitor and keyboard, or a SSH (Secure Shell) connection, to the server and follow the steps below.

  20. Backup the Q-Advisor Database To backup the Q-Advisor database called qosmetrix_v40 in a file named backup: Note: Make sure no test scenarios are running and all users are logged off before proceeding. Using a keyboard and monitor, or an SSH connection to the Q-Advisor, log in as root. At the # prompt, enter: # mysqldump –unetadvsr –pimedia123 qosmetrix_v40 > backup<Enter> To restore a Q-Advisor database backup from a file named backup: Prepare mysql first: # mysql –unetadvsr -pimedia123 qosmetrix_v40 -A<Enter>mysql> drop database qosmetrix_v40<Enter>mysql> create database qosmetrix_v40<Enter> mysql> quit<Enter>Bye Then, perform the restore:# mysql –unetadvsr –pimedia123 qosmetrix_v40 <backup<Enter>

  21. Change the IP Address for Eth0 NOTE:You’ll need to use a monitor, keyboard, and vi editor to complete this procedure. Login in as root Enter cd /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts Enter vi ifcfg-eth0 In the eth0 file, change the network, netmask, gateway, and IP address as required for your network. The following shows example entries: DEVICE=eth0 #BOOTPROTO=dhcp BOOTPROTO=static ONBOOT=yes BROADCAST=10.100.255.255 IPADDR=10.100.17.230 NETMASK=255.255.0.0 NETWORK=10.100.0.0 GATEWAY=10.100.0.1 Save the file, and then restart the network: service network restart
