  1. Threshold Network Groups 2012 Week 2 Friday Gallery Walk & Individual Reflection Sunìstemi “uniting, putting together”

  2. Gallery Walk • After posting your “Role Reversals” in the hallway, take time to view some of the other class’s creations • Are there other students with the same handicaps as you? • Are there additional handicaps that you should have included? • Do you have any handicaps that are completely unique?

  3. Reflection • Consider these questions within your group • Was it easier to create “handicaps” than it would be to discuss your many talents? Why? • Is it possible to be proud of your gifts and talents without being prideful? • How can you remain unique yet remain “socially acceptable” • What IS socially acceptable behavior? Who decides this? • What are the benefits of being aware and respectful of social expectations? • How can you show your creativity within structured environments?

  4. For future reference… • It is normal to be discouraged by boundaries – whether they are those placed on you by parents, teachers, educational systems, or yourself. Consider ways that you can continue to strive to go beyond the “norm” while still remaining within the boundaries. • Write a letter to yourself, reminding yourself of the things that you have learned about yourself this week. • Include the talents and the ways that you plan to grow these talents • Seal up the letter and write your name on the front. Save it for a time that you are discouraged and need a reminder of how amazing you are!
