  1. My main idea for an advert is having a girl sitting on a bench listening to standard headphones with music over the top of the video being played quietly, then she pulls them out looking dissatisfied, a woman sees this then walks over and sits down next to her and says ‘’try these’’ the girl puts them in. Then loud music is played over the top of the video, she smiles, gets up and walks away. Then a image of jewelfone text comes up, and a voiceover with ‘never settle for less The target audience this advert is trying to aim at is young teenage girls, it does this by giving a want/need emotional response especially to younger girls, so this may appeal to them to want the headphones in ‘fashion’. As obvious as it may seem, the main use of this product is to listen to music in high quality sound, they are around £25, they are at this price because as they are aimed at young girls, they will not have jobs usually, therefore relying on parents/family to purchase the product which will be in trend. The music for both sound tracks needing to be used in this advert will be ‘Baby’ by Justin Bieber, this is because it is a popular song to girls around that age, so using that song will also make girls watching the advert want the product as it may be a favourable song to them. There will be no voiceovers or other jingles as I believe young girls don’t find interest or reassurance of the product in voiceovers especially.

  3. Channels you would like it aired on I would like it to be aired on channels such as Home and Away and The Simpsons, and Glee as these are around the time the target audience watch tv, in the early morning and early evening and they are the types of programs target audience watch, ‘Soaps, cartoon series and reality series.

  4. Why this advert will be a success I believe this advert will be a success because it is a new thing for kids to have an interest and it is fairly unique being targetted at a certain gender, style and age, so I think it will attract people of the right description.

  5. Budgets • The Simpsons rating figures are: £1,770,000, divided by 1000 making 1,770, multiplied by 6.23 is 11,027. This means the total cost for an advert during ‘The Simpsons’ costs 11,027. • The Home and Away rating figures are around 1,000,000 divided by 1,000 making 1,000 then multiplying that by 6.23 makes a total of 6230 . This means the full cost for an advert between Home and Awaycost 6230. • The Glee rating figures are around 600,000, divided by 1000 makes 600 then multiplied by 6.23 makes 96.30. Meaning the total cost of an advert between glee is 3738. • Meaning my overall budget adding all these 3 final budgets together makes 20995.

  6. Deadline • The deadline for the full tv advert to be produced is the 27th march 2013

  7. Channels I would like the advert to be aired on • I would like the advert to be aired on Sky 1, channel 5 and channel 4, this is because these contain the shows ‘The Simpsons, Glee and Home and Away’ which I believe is the kind of tv programs that the people of the target audience watch, so I believe having adverts on these shows would prove most effective.

  8. Target Audience The target audience this advert is trying to aim at is young teenage girls, it does this by giving a want/need emotional response especially to younger girls, so this may appeal to them to want the headphones in ‘fashion’.

  9. Spot Plan

  10. Why I think the advert will be a success? I think this advert will be a success as it is a unique product and advert and it hits an exact target audience, and as the tv programs that the target audience watch have been focused on, it would surely get more customers than if it were on a late night or midday program that the select target audience do not watch
