B.Subudhi, Navin Kumar and ToshaliMohanty, “Design of Two Wheeler Hybrid Gasoline Electric Vehicle”,181/KOL, 2015

  26. Design of Two Wheeler Hybrid Gasoline Electric Vehicle • Brief description of the invention: • A 'gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle' relies both on gasoline and also on electric power source. • This hybrid combination makes the vehicle dynamic in nature and provides it’s owner a better fuel economy and lesser environmental impact over conventional automobiles. • HEV comprise of an electric motor, battery and power sources with an internal combustion engine to achieve better fuel economy and reduce toxic emissions. • Battery provides power for low-speed driving and gasoline engine provides for highways or hill climbing. • The energy from IC engine is generally wasted into the atmosphere through exhaust and radiator. • For reutilize, a stirling engine is attached in the exhaust and an array of thermocouple is attached to radiating fins of the cylinder head. The electric power generated is used to run the electric motor directly or indirectly depending upon the power requirements
