  2. Lemon Paeroa L and P first became famous when they were getting thirsty. It was famous because it stoped them from getting thirsty. The giant bottle was first put up in 1969. The L and P bottle can be found in the north island of New Zealand

  3. Treaty House The treaty house is so special because it was where the treaty of Waitangi was signed. James built the treaty house in1833. Waitangi over looks the bay of islands. It is near the top of the north island

  4. Te Puke Te Puke has a kiwi Fruit as a icon .The Kiwi fruit originally came from china and was called the chines gooseberries .We export kiwi Fruit to Japan , Taiwan , Korea , USA , Europe. . You can find Te Puke in the bay of plenty, north island of tauranga.

Taihape Taihape is famous for it’s annual Gum boot day because there were lots of farms .They were first made in England for a man, he said” I want some boots which can walk in mud, that come up to my knees and that are comfortable,” and that is how the first Gum boot was made. That is what made the people think of that as there icon Taihape is found near the middle of the north island.

  6. Kaikoura Kaikoura’s icon is a whale tail, because it is the centre of the whaling industry. Kaikoura’s icon is an attraction to get more tourists to come to Kaikoura. Kaikoura is found in the east coast of the south island.

  7. Rotoura Rotoura’s icon is mud pools. Mud pools is there icon because there are lots of mud pools .The mud pools are used for tourism because not many other towns would see mud boiling in the ground and would like to see it. Rotoura is found in the middle of the north island

  8. Spring Field Spring Field’s icon is the doughnut because the place it was filmed in is were the big doughnut was. It was first put up in 9/11. Spring Field is found near the top of the south island

  9. Wellington The beehive is the icon of Wellington ,the beehive is also known as the wing. The beehive is important to Helen Clark .The beehive is also one of the main parliament buildings in New Zealand. The beehive was built in stages between 1969 and 1979.The beehive is there icon because Wellington can be found at the bottom of the north island.

  10. ME I’ve chosen a fish as the icon because I like to swim and surf, the fish is blue because that’s my favourite colour, the fish has watermelons on it because its my favourite fruit. The fish is on a stage because I love to dance. The curtons have silver ferns on it because I am a kiwi Sharayah! HOME
