  2. A good researcher must dig to find words that help answer the research questions. He or she must toss aside the unnecessary sentences, phrases, and words. The unnecessary words do not help answer the question.

  3. Sometimes we can call the important words “Fact Fragments”

  4. “A note is a “fact fragment”- a piece of information that will become a complete thought in the final project.”

  5. How to find Fact Fragments or Notes?

  6. Find the Treasure Words/Fact Fragments

  7. When taking notes remember…. • Make a new card for each question • Write your question number on the top of the card. • Write down only important words. • Do NOT copy sentences! That is PLAGARISM • On the Back of the card write a sentence or sentences that will answer the questions using the important words on the front of the card. • Give Credit
