Course objectives • After completing this course, students should be able to: • understand the nature of risk and its application, • understand the general purpose, role and benefits of insurance, • demonstrate a knowledge of how the insurance market works, • understand how the general insurance market is regulated, • apply the basic legal principles of insurance, • identify the key features, benefits and use of the main forms of insurance.

  6. Mariusz Dybał – Syllabus 3. Grading policy • There will be a case study every week covering the material for that week. Each student is asked to solve case application at home and bring it on the next week lecture. There will be one week time for every case study. The weights for the final course grade are as follows: • A – 5 case studies, • B – 4 case studies, • C – 3 case studies, • D – 2 case studies, • E – 1 case study, • F – less than 1 case study.
