  1. iParent/iStudent FAQ

  2. Attendance • If you choose to click on the Attendance link, it will show your child’s Attendance for that day by period. It also displays the total tardies and absences for the year.

  3. Grade bookProgress report • When clicking on Progress report, it will show you the assignments and grade for that class. • Each category on the progress report, has different weights. For example, Math may have categories such as Homework, Quizzes and Tests. Your student may have 100% in the Homework category, but still have a C in the class, because of the weight of the other categories. • Make sure you check your student’s weights for each class. • Important terminology you might need to consider when viewing the progress report are as follows: M- missing I- Incomplete E- Exempt Dash - Not yet due NA- Not Applicable

  4. Grade BookAssignments • What does a due date mean? • In the assignments part of the Grade Book, you may view every assignment that has and will be to come. • In some cases, when the teacher enters in a due date for the assignment, it will turn M for missing as soon as that day comes. • If there is still a dash, E, or NA in the spot for a grade, don’t panic, that means the due date has not yet arrived, or the student is excused from the assignment.

  5. Discipline • This is where you can view your child’s Discipline records for the school year. • It will either say that no records can be found for this year or it will show disciplines like detentions and suspensions that the student has took action in.

  6. Preferences • If you would wish to see your student’s attendance for each day, check the box and enter your email address to receive an email daily.

  7. Change Password • Changing your password is very easy to do! • Simply type your old password in the space provided and enter and re-enter your desired password with the requirements listed.
