Physical causes of Flooding Bangledesh has a moonsoon climate which means most places receive between 1800 to 2600mm of rainfall a year, but over 80%of its falls from May to September Bangledesh is a low, flat country – 80% of it is at less than 6 metres above sea levels , so it is easilly flooded

  3. human causes of Flooding Deforestataion The population of Nepal is increasing. Trees have been cleared in foothills of the Himalayas to make way for farming and housing. This has increased the speed at which water flows into the rivers . As a result , eroision and the amount of material carrried by the rivers have increased.

People could respond to consistent flooding by making some shelters that are high above the ground.

  7. Long Term Responses to Flooding • They should make some flood protection like tall concrete shelters and grow some trees around the area. • They also need to create early warning systems like flags to indicate when there is some high seas so that they are better prepared for the flood.
