  2. The History • Established in 1931by Guccio Gucci as a saddle shop in Florence. Gucci was a family run Italian business until Guccio’s grandson Maurizio sold his final share of the brand in 1993. • Guccio Gucci was the first to inter twine his name into the logo for his brand. • Tom Ford came along in the mid-90’s and designed the women’s wear collection for Gucci which were shot and advertised by Mario Testino. • In 2004, Ford exited Gucci and the company. But soon after a new management fill his position, not with a single designer, but with an entire team of designers. John Ray (men’s wear), Alessandra Facchinetti (women’s wear), and Frida Giannini (accessories). • But in March 2005, Alessandra left Gucci for another company.   3. Where ya from? • Guccio Gucci (1881-1953) Born in Italy’s northern manufacturing region. He was the son of an Italian merchant, he started the House of Gucci as a small family own leather saddlery shop in 1906. Being an excellent craftsman, he started selling leather bags to the horsemen in 1920. Gucci expanded his business to the capital, Rome in 1938 where he opened his first retail outlet. In 1953, Gucci expanded his business to Manhattan.

  4. Promotions & Success • House of Gucci is an Italian iconic fashion and leather good items. It is one of the most famous and prestigious brands known globally. It was one of the premier manufacturing leather good suppliers. It also holds an Guinness Book Of World Record for one of its apparel collection called, “Genius Jeans,” which were priced at $3,134 The organization has also won multiple awards.
