  1. BX BUSINESS NETWORKING REIMAGINED

  2. On The Mistakes People Make When Business Networking The reason why I feel compelled to talk about the mistakes business owners make at networking events is that I attend several of these events annually. Therefore, I may say that I know what it takes to make the most out of the networking events you go to. While some people create stunning opportunities for themselves and others, some business owners simply get it totally wrong. And they, unintentionally, do this by selling at these events. Luckily, I have some tips that can help you turn things around in the future Perth Business Network you attend.

  3. Yes, you want to believe that networking is all about selling. But this is pretty inaccurate since these events fall under marketing; not sales. With that said, when you go to a networking event, you should always look to build opportunities that will help increase your sales in the future. Networking introduces us to people with an interest in buying from us. Nevertheless, that does not mean we sell to them at first sight. So, forget about reaching for your wallet to pick up a business card and then handing it out to everyone you meet. Forget about starting your conversations with “what do you do?” Instead, focus on building relationships because that is what networking is all about. It is about creating connections and not running from one end of the room to another trying to sell your products/services. Now, you must note that selling is not the same as buying. The reason why I’m saying this is that people may want to buy your products, which is totally different from selling. The thing is, when someone buys from you, it simply means they like your services or products. It also means they trust you.

  4. Every time you go to the Perth Business Network, make sure you have the following questions at the back of your head: • How do I create helpful connections? • How do I come up with wonderful opportunities for others? • What should I do to connect people with others? Always know that the main reason you network is that you want to build meaningful relationships with potential customers and other business owners. When you view networking from this angle and do it more often, you will become more valuable to others. And this, in return, will help you benefit more from the Perth business network.
