A number of these stories involve your quest to rescue the king's quest to save himself from his rival, Queen Catherine. Another narrative focuses on a relationship between two distinct characters. In the end, there's a last narrative that involves your own personal narrative. This last part of the game is called the Endless Fall, which involves you after a deadline that leads to your death. However, since the game takes place over the duration of two decades, there's no way for one to really reach there, but it's likely to view the game in a journal and see your progress. From the Hearts Stories you perform, you have to choose between two very different endings. The first one, known as the True Ending, is the path that permits you to rescue the King Henry from their troubles. However, when you fail at this job, you cannot come back to the last and make a decision in the future. Instead, the decision you make will always remain in your current. But if you do end up succeeding, you will then visit the past and select the other end.
