I specify a time when they must be finished with a final draft and then I evaluate that draft online. • Absent Work • Make up work within one week of return • Information and handouts posted on Advanced Writing Google Calendar which I have shared with the students.

  4. Policies/Procedures Cont’d • Rewrites--may revise any major assignment that has earned a grade of C- or higher • Literacy Center

  5. Parents’ Role: How Can You Help? • Ask your student specific questions about what he/she is reading. • Encourage extra reading at home. • Help proofread essays; the more eyes on the essay the better. • Encourage your student to grade his or her paper with the rubric. • Encourage students to use the Literacy Center.
