F – The v shape stands for victory over colonial power, the blue and white represent the sands and oceans, the yellow sun represents the beginning of a new era for this nations, and the black symbolizes the many people of African heritage who live here. They became independent from Britain in 1981 and their flag was adopted in 1967.
