Information • All types of information owned and managed by public institutions • Documents, photographs, film, audio tapes and slides, drawings…etc Eligible Clients • Korean Nationals : individual citizens , legal entities…etc • Foreign Nationals : Long term residents, Short term visitors with academic • purposes, Foreign corporations with local branches Legal Entities • Central & Local Government Agencies, State and Local Enterprises, • Local offices of the Ministry of Education • Various Schools, Social Welfare Institutes…etc Citizen’s Right to Know

Preliminary Notification • Major policies related to people’s daily lives, national projects…etc • Scope and level of disclosure, timing, methods are decided in advance Publicizing List of Items for Disclosure Citizen’s Right to Know • Items of information to be listed for disclosure • The list contains title, date, officer in charge, duration of preservation Specific Criteria for Exceptions • Disclosure of Criteria for Exceptions through various open sources • Averts personal decision on disclosure
