Consider the apostle Paul’s endurance “We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in the province of Asia. We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it.” [2 Corinthians 1 v8]

We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us. And you are helping us by praying for us. It is by his great mercy that we have been born again, because God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Now we live with great expectation, and we have a priceless inheritance—an inheritance that is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay.” [1 Peter 1 v3-4]
