Proposed Organizational Structure Bayview Hunters Point Community-Based Van Sharing Pilot Program RESPONSIBILITIES: Community Advisory Board Fiscal Sponsor Work together Mobility Manager Program: Planning and Day-to-Day Management Administrative: Back Office, Grants and Contract Management Contract Vendor Mobility Manager • Day-to-Day Operations/Management of Vendor (incl. Customer Service) • Service Planning • Marketing and Community Relations • Progress Reports to Fiscal Sponsor and Board • Mobility Management Contract Vendor Fiscal Sponsor Community Advisory Board • Operate and Maintain Vehicles • Leadership Council • Oversight/Governance • Establish Policies • Fundraising • Provide Technical Assistance/Guidance • Represent Broad Interests in Community • Provides 501(c)3 status • Accepts Donations and Grants • Provides financial reports, accounting and tax filing • Develops legal contracts and other organizational documents • Provides “back office services” incl. payroll, HR, grants management, risk and legal management • Holds contracts with Program Manager, Vendor(s), and Contractor(s) Existing organization active in the Bayview 501c(3) Foundation *Also responsible to their own Board Community Reps.

  5. Next Steps on Business Plan Document • Transportation Authority • Review in March-April • Approved in May • Owned by the community thereafter • Living/working document • This will be the primary support for grant writing

Key Dates • Community Advisory Committee Meeting #1 Wednesday, Feb. 27, 6-8pm, Authority's Offices (1455 Market) • Plans and Programs Committee Meeting #1 Tuesday, March 19, 10:30-11:30am, City Hall Room 263 • Community Advisory Committee Meeting #2 Wednesday, April 24, 6-8 pm, Authority's Offices (1455 Market) • Plans and Programs Committee Meeting #2 Tuesday, May 14, 10:30-11:30am, City Hall Room 263 • Authority Board Meeting Tuesday, May 21, 11am-12pm, City Hall Room 250

  7. Transition: Planning to Implementation • Closing Planning Phase, moving into Implementation Phase • Ownership and responsibility transitions to community • City role transitioning, moving forward: • Authority provides limited technical support • DPH Heal Zone limited support for grant writing

Bridge Leadership BMAGIC taking leadership for transition phase • Serve as Convener • Calls the next meetings to create “bridging organization” • This person will keep the ball rolling on key tasks during transition period • Bridging organization (TWG  CAB) • Members of this group will continue to meet to bridge between the TWG and the CAB

  9. Key Next Steps • Selection of Mobility Manager/Program Manager • Formation of CAB • Grant writing: for start-up and operating • Confirm partners and financial commitments for pilot phase • Outreach to the community
