Cost Estimate • 10/31/04 Baseline Cost Estimate • $2,935K • Performance Assurance activities performed on a level of effort basis • Cost estimate covered quality engineering and inspection staff through 1/31/05 • Lien identified for $552K for staff funding through 7/14/05 • 11/17/04 Rebaseline Plan • $3,894K ($959K Delta) • Change in LAT delivery date to NRL 9/28/05 • Schedule delays of subsystem hardware deliveries • Quality problems associated with critical components and assemblies

Change Detail • Quality Engineering (+$594K) • Addition of Software Quality Engineer (.5 FTE) through end of 9/28/05 • Assigned QE to address MCM workmanship issues and support Tracker Engineering staff on quality issues • Source inspection (+$122K) • Extension of Tracker MCM and DAQ box assembly source inspection personnel to reflect completion of work • Dedicated individual to Tracker flex cable fabrication activities due to supplier problems • Quality Inspectors (+159K) • Internal rework procedure development and inspections • Continued inspections of Tracker and DAQ parts • DAQ harness inspection at vendor facility • Management, calibration and travel (+$84K)
