Transfer of IFAST Secretariat to ATIS • CTIA resigned as Secretariat in 1999. • TIA volunteered to perform the function on an interim basis, i.e., until a permanent entity could be identified. • TIA staff informed IFAST Chairman that they are understaffed and that the function was larger than anticipated. • IFAST Chairmen, supported by IFAST Management Team, opened negotiations with the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS). • Ed Hall transfers from CTIA to ATIS. • Agreement reached with ATIS, including level of funding. • IFAST Management Team supported the agreement. • IFAST Chairmen informed its membership and ATIS announced the agreement. • ATIS prepared to assume function from this meeting forward.
