  2. ¿QUE ES LA LITERATURA JUVENIL? Literatura juvenil es aquella especialmente dirigida a lectores que atraviesan por la juventud, si bien no exclusivamente. Este concepto va a menudo unido al de literatura infantil, enunciándose como literatura infantil y juvenil, si bien guardan algunas características diferenciadoras entre ellos. A este tipo de literatura se le ha querido tradicionalmente dar unas funciones tanto de entretenimiento, como didáctica y de formación del hábito lector.2 Los temas tratados en la literatura juvenil no difieren en mucho de los de la literatura de adultos (amor, tragedia, guerra...) si bien se les da un tratamiento bastante más lineal tanto a estos como a los personajes, siendo estos últimos de poca variabilidad psicológica. Esta interiorización se minimiza dando mayor importancia a la acción que a la caracterización psicológica de los personajes.
