  4. Coral reef-Australia (Great Barrier Reef) Animals Weather Sunshine Warm water • Jellyfish • Whales • Dolphins • Many types of fish • Sea turtles • Sharks • Many more These animals can only survive in the coral reef habitat. This is where they get all of their food and shelter.

  5. Desert-Sahara (Africa) Other deserts are located in Africa, Asia, Middle east, South America, Australia Weather Animals Camels Snakes Scorpions Many rodents Jackals Hyenas • Extremely hot • Sometimes hurricanes and sandstorms

Time zones: Sahara, Great barrier reef, Amazon • Sahara: 5 hours ahead of our time. • If it is currently 1:30 pm here, in the Sahara it is 6:30 pm. 6:30 pm is the night time. • Great Barrier Reef in Australia: 14 hours ahead of our time • If it is 1:30 pm here, in the great barrier reef it is 3:30 am. This is the morning but it’s still dark out. • Amazon Rainforest: Same time zone as ours • If it is 1:30 here, it is 1:30 pm in the Amazon rainforest. This is the day time.
