  14. CurbIt: A Sustainable Boise Programme Boise provides no-sort carts to residents. Easy – throw all recyclables into the blue carts and wheel it out to the curb (no sorting necessary)

Collection Schedule Residential Recycling & Special Programs • Recycling collection occurs on your trash pick-up day every other week. • Purple decal on the inside of the recycling bin will remind you if you ever forget your week. • Special Programmes: • Curbside leaf collection • Christmas tree collection • Residential cleanup weeks

The City of Boise Does Not Accept: Glass Styrofoam Disposable nappies Empty hazardous waste and pesticide containers Foil-lined items Food boxes/containers with excessive food residue Hardbound books Milk or juice cartons (waxed or with foil lining) Packing peanuts or bubble wrap Paper plates, cups, towels, napkins, tissues, or toilet paper Plastic grocery bags, garbage bags, plastic wrap or film Plastic utensils Plastics labelled “PLA” Yard waster (compost of throw in trash cart) Televisions and monitors

  18. Other Recycling Large Items: Allied Waste Services provides collection of large items, such as air conditioners, dishwashers, stoves, and water heaters. Call (208) 345-1266 to schedule a pick up. Leaves, Branches & Trees: Boise and Allied Waste Services provide annual leaf collection during Recycle the Fall (November), and Christmas tree collection during the first two weeks after Christmas.
