  2. Part I: My Education Plan & Profile • These slides include the following documents in your portfolio. Make as many slide as you need, you can hyperlink (see next slide for how to hyperlink)(suggest 2-3 slides) • Education Plan & Goals • Activity Chart • Essays • College Comparison or Application • Scholarship application • Resume & Cover letter • Other documents or goal information

How to Hyperlink • #1 Type the title of your hyperlink document • (ie : Activity Chart) • #2 Highlight • (ie : Activity Chart) • #3 Right click • #4 Select ‘hyperlink’ from the drop down menu • #5 Select the document • #6 Go to your slide show or view slides to test You can only hyperlink if the document is on your flashdrive, the ‘g’drive if you’re logged in, the internet as long as the computer has access, etc. Remember to test it out on the technology in the room you are presenting in.

Part II: My CRLES • Make as many slides as you need to talk about your Career-Related Learning Experiences. • Talk about career standards; address these in the CRLES or during your EA Project • Personal Management • Problem Solving • Communication • Teamwork • Employment foundations • Career Development Suggestions: 3-5 slides depending on what you want to communicate

  5. Part III: My Extended Application Project • Title of my project • Who my mentor is • How many total hours did you spend?

Project: Relevance • What is the connection between your high school classes, your post-high school goals and your project? • Why did you select this as your project? • What classes helped you be successful with your project? (writing skills/technology/vocabulary/ theories….?) • How does the project connect to either your goals, plan or to job skills in general? (review career standards/essential skills)

  7. Project: Relevance • Show (discuss) evidence of new learning, ideas, or results of your project as appropriate to your goals and interests. • What surprised you? • What didn’t you expect? • What did you have to know when you started? • How did what you learn relate to your goals?

  8. Project: Rigor • How did you apply your knowledge and skills? • How did you apply your current knowledge and skills in ‘new’ ways? (learning stretched) • How did you apply your knowledge and skills in different situations?(challenges) • What challenges did you face? How did you overcome them? (problem-solving)

  9. Project: Reflection(wrap-up) • How relevant was this project to your goals? • How does this connect to your post-high school goals & plans? • How rigorous was the project? How challenging/difficult was it ? • What high school classes assisted in the completion of your project?

  10. My Portfolio Wrap-up • Overall comments to wrap-up your overall portfolio • Do some ‘Reflective’ commenting on the overall process of the Diploma Personalization process you went through. • What would you do over again? • What would you do differently? • What advise would you give to future classes? • What did you learn or like about the overall process? • What went well? What were you especially proud of? • If you did research you may want to have a ‘Reference’ page 1 slide/maybe 2 if other items, photos to share.
