  2. Why Tech • Efficiency • Collaboration • Communication • Outreach • etc.

  3. Examples of SCA Tech • Website (same provider as ASCA: Timberlakeso consider cost vs. benefits) • Facebook • Twitter • ASCA Scene • Webinars (Adobe Connect)

  4. Examples of SCA Tech • GoToMeeting(when in doubt can revert to conference call) • Old fashioned mass email (connecting with OSPI) • Online Journal • Survey Monkey • Dropbox

  5. Lessons Learned • Pace matters. Don’t sprint and tire out. Find a pace that works for you and go for that; build from that • Your virtual face/reputation is just as important as your “real” one

  6. Lessons Learned • Establish a point person for the technology used • Competency & Passion • Multiple people: have structure in place for actions and decision-making (even mundane site updating) • Use the tech as a marketing/communication tool • Create/generate momentum for events & information • Upcoming conference (I Pavlov)

  7. Lessons Learned • Keep SCA goals (i.e. ends policies, goals, action items, etc.) in mind at all times. Don’t delegate technology to the sidelines as something to get around to. How can technology assist and further your association’s goals?

  8. Sharing is Caring • What tech has and hasn’t worked for your SCA? Why? (no war stories please) • What are some examples of connecting tech with your SCA goals (i.e. ends policies, goals, action items, etc.)

  9. Sharing is Caring 1. What tech has and hasn’t worked for your SCA? Why? (no war stories please)

  10. Sharing is Caring 2. What are some examples of connecting tech with your SCA goals (i.e. ends policies, goals, action items, etc.)
