Pultruded tubing is ideal for projects that require exceptional bending and tension properties. It is not the right choice for applications that involve crushing and torque – like drone or UAV boom arms. Standard Modulus Tubing Standard modulus carbon fiber tubing offers good structural integrity – especially compared to aluminum. It can be designed to be of equivalent stiffness to aluminum yet at half the weight. The advantage of this sort of tubing is its balanced layup. We offer standard modulus in multiple shapes, including circular and square. Square tubing provides for easy mounting and component machining. Fabric Weave Tubing What many people commonly refer to as carbon fiber is really a carbon fiber reinforced plastic. The weave pattern observed in a finished product is actually a woven fabric embedded inside the polymer resin that constitutes the majority of the piece.
