  1. What to do After Bankruptcy: Recovering from Bad Credit

  2. Hoping to one day own your own vehicle may seem unrealistic if you have had previous credit issues. When you’re faced with a situation to declare bankruptcy, it may feel like you will never achieve a good credit score again. Rebuilding yourself from previous credit issues may become frustrating as it involves rebuilding your rating, considering finances in a different way and may cause emotional stress.

  3. How to Rebuild Yourself after having Bad Credit Make sure that there are no discrepancies on the credit report that was given to you by the credit bureau. Ensure that every detail in the report is accurate and when an inconsistency is found, contact the credit bureau to fix the mistakes.   Once you receive a report with all the correct information, you can try to apply for a ‘secured’ credit card. This card is different from the usual card issues to an individual as it gives you a revolving credit which allows for credit access as long as you are up to date with your payments. In comparison to a typical credit card, this secured card requires you to deposit an amount to guarantee the provider that you will be able to use the card for a default amount in case of any missed payments.

  4. 3. When given your secure credit card, make sure to use it responsibly to begin reestablishing your credit while gaining trust from the card provider. To get through with your bad credit rating, you can also apply for the RRSP loan. RRSP, or the Registered Retirement Savings Plan is a Canadian loan that requires an individual to save a certain amount monthly and keep their investment savings. The best time to apply for this loan is during January or February and it can also lead to various tax advantages.
