  2. Greek word Karusso(κηρύσσω) • “to preach, preaching; to publish or proclaim, as a herald; to announce openly and publicly. To noise abroad, to announce as a matter of doctrine.” • Romans 10:14 NKJV 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?”

Greek word Karux (κήρυξ) • “a preacher or herald.” • 1 Timothy 2:7 NKJV 7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle--I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying--a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.” • 2 Timothy 1:11 NKJV 11 to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.”

Greek word Karugmatos (κήρυγμα) • “genitive, singular, neuter as a noun means the thing preached.” • 1 Corinthians 1:21 NKJV 21 …. it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.” • Matthew 12:41 NKJV 41 “…they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and indeed a greater than Jonah is here.” • Romans 16:25 “my gospel and preaching of Jesus Christ…”

  5. The Preaching Can Be: • Done in a FOOLISH WAY – thereby making is “foolish preaching” • Done by a FOOLISH PERSON and be so much FOOLISH, thereby making for “foolish preaching” • Just so much FOOLISHNESS thereby making for “foolish preaching”

  6. 1 Corinthians 1:21 Not talking about Any of These • Neither Foolish Preaching, a Foolish Preacher, nor Foolishness Preached, in God’s sight, will save anyone! • Talking about the Gospel, the Message Preached, is foolishness to man in general – but Salvation to those who believe & obey it

  7. PREACHING: • In the sight of man, effective preaching moves men to respond • In the sight of God, it is preaching the Truth in Love, being Instant in Season, Out of Season, reproving, and rebuking with all long-suffering and teaching- 2 Timothy 4:1-5

  13. The Emphasis Should Be on What is Preached, Rather Than on How it is Preached & Who is the Preacher • The “Word” is to be Preached- 2 Timothy 4:1-5 • Gospel Power of God unto Salvation- Romans 1:16,17

  14. The Gospel You Have Heard Today May be “Foolishness” to You- • IF it IS, You Will be Condemned • IF You Believe it and Obey it, It Will Save You! • Why Not Believe and Obey the Gospel TODAY?
