  1. Presentation C: Cross-listing two or more courses together

  2. 1) Login to CARS. 2)a. Choose [a] Catalog Maintenance from the Main Menu.

  3. b. Enter the password “CARS”. • Note: You will not see the password letters appear. • c. Hit F1 or Enter.

  4. 3) a. Enter the session (Ex. FA08, SP09, SU09, etc.). b. Hit F1.

  5. 4) Select “Course catalog and schedule” by hitting F1 or Enter.

  6. 5) Choose “Query” by hitting F1, Enter or Q.

  7. a. Enter a course number (ex. HRDV 6000, MRKT 5000, INTL 5510, • etc.). • b. Enter a catalog (ex. GR08, GR07, UG 08, etc.). • Note: Be sure to discern between UNDG and GRAD classes when choosing a catalog.

  8. 7) a. A list of section numbers will appear. Use your down arrow key to scroll through the listing. b. Select the appropriate section number and press F1.

  9. c. Select “Meeting” at the top of the screen.

  10. 8) Hit Ctrl-N for instructor.

  11. 9) a. Hit Ctrl-E for delete line.

  12. b. Hit Ctrl-E delete line again.

  13. 10) Select “Meeting” at the top of the screen again.

  14. 11) Hit Ctrl-V for x-list (cross-list).

  15. 12)a. Enter the appropriate crosslisted course information.

  16. Example

  17. b. Hit F1.

  18. 13)a. Hit F1 again. b. The courses are now cross-listed. If you have multiple courses which need to be cross-listed together, proceed to Step 14.

  19. Hit Control-C and repeat steps 5-13 for each additional course. • Note: Always cross-list each additional course against the original course. The original course is the course entered into the text fields in Step 12.
