Batman could sense his nemesis was close. • “Game’s up, Joker,” he said. • The Joker stepped forward and a sly grin spread over his face. • “Not so fast, Batman,” he said. “Why don’t you come up here and we’ll talk?” • “I know you, Joker,” said Batman. “What’s that you’re holding?” he said. • “Doesn’t it look familiar, Batman?” said the Joker. The bundle wriggled. • “HELP ME, BATMAN,” a child’s voice said. Batman’s heart froze as the Joker’s shrieking laugh echoed through the skyscrapers. A patter of feet, and he was gone. • “This isn’t over, Joker,” Batman said, racing towards the Batmobile.
