  8. Project Schedule & Costs • Award Date: September 30, 2007 • Construction Cost: $1.9 million • Notice to Proceed: October 30, 2007 • Project Completion: July 26, 2008

  9. Minimizing Disruptions • All work producing excessive noise will be done after hours, weekends and holidays. • Work on the Whitten Building’s east & west moat roofs, the contractor will access the roofs through the 4th floor restrooms and/or office space. Restrooms will be closed. • During construction, windows, AC units, and air intake vents will be covered to minimize odor.

  11. Environmental Initiatives • Root barriers will be installed allowing for installation of “green roofs”. • Existing roof ballast and concrete pavers will be re-used.

  12. Communications Plan • Briefings will be held with affected parties. • Occupants will be notified via e-mail prior to start of construction. • OO Webpage will be updated. • Signage will be placed in all construction areas. • Regular updates to agencies under construction area.

  14. FAQ’s How will the contractor get materials to the roof? A crane and freight elevators will be used to move the materials to the construction area after hours, weekends and holidays. A staging area will be designated. Will there be noise/vibration during construction? Yes. However, this work will be done after hours, weekends and on holidays.

  15. FAQ’s Will any areas be off limits to employees during construction? Yes. Two restrooms (men’s) on the Whitten Building’s fourth floor. Some parking spaces may be impacted after hours, weekends, and holidays. Who is the point of contact for construction related matters?
