  2. Introduction Through this project you will be introduced to a Spanish artist. The purpose of this project is to learn about famous Spanish artists, their artwork, and art. Through this experience you will have the opportunity to research Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, and Joan Miro. You will be working individually and with a team. I hope you will enjoy this experience.

  3. Tasks Our class has been chosen to represent our school in presenting Spanish artwork for the traveling exhibition at the Everson Museum of Art. There is a problem. The crates containing the artwork have arrived but there is no information about the artist or artwork. It will be your job to research the famous Spanish artists along with their paintings and present your findings.

  4. Process • Each group will select an artist to research. Links have been provided to guide you with the research. • Group activity: Research the following information. • Biography, life of the artist and his artwork include something interesting about the artist, information about the style or movement (cubism or surrealism) of the artwork. • The artwork displayed on the artist’s page. Include title, style, and time period to label the artwork for display in the museum. Although this is a group activity each member will be responsible for one painting. • Identify which artwork is the most famous of his collection and why? • What other artwork not posted on the slide would your group include in the gallery and why? • Create a prezipresentation of your findings and present it to your peers (museum visitors). Please follow the link to help you with prezi: http://prezi.com/learn/getting-started/ • Individually: • Create your own masterpiece influenced by the artist chosen by the group. • You may use any type of medium for your creation. • Include a title and a brief summary in Spanish of your own masterpiece.
