  7. 2001 Set 3 - Family “How to raise the perfect family” As part of a team project, the Social Studies teacher at your school wants students to produce a special booklet entitled How to raise the perfect family. You are one of a group of students who have been chosen to produce the booklet. You are meeting to discuss what advice to include in it and how the information could be presented in an interesting and attractive way.

  8. Advice to include in the booklet: 1. Parents should be fair and treat both sons and daughters equally. 2. Parents should not over-protect their children. 3. Parents should spare enough time to communicate with their children, listen to them and give them a chance to express themselves. 4. Parents can be more flexible in bringing up their children. 5. Parents should not bring temper back to the family. 6. It is no good using violence to punish children. 7. Children can share happiness and sorrow with family members. 8. Family members should love and concern about one other.

  9. Ways to present the booklet: 1. Make the booklet colourful 2. Include some cartoon characters 3. Make the cover 3-dimensonal 4. Make the booklet pocket-size 5. Include a questionnaire to let students find out whether they have a perfect family or not 6. Give some advice and suggestions from experts 7. Give the opinions from pop, film and sports stars 8. Add a website to give up-to-date information 9. Write a telephone hotline for contact or email to collect comments
