The need for being fast • The quick broadening of information requires more and various knowledge from individuals. • Worldwide effort: the more information in the less time. • Information society + digital writing skills = type our instructions, texts, thoughts. • Touch-typing is a great advance in work as information getting and giving is quick. The fast work is the claim of our age • The need for being fast and the expansion of knowledge recommend bigger and wider professional background form the individuals. • The need for quick and high quality learning is a worldwide phenomenon. • Information technology + digital writing = result in typing commands, thoughts, text messages, • Touch-typing has a big advantage in learning and working as with this ability getting information and communicating can be fast.   4. National Curricula • The National Curricula allow the primary schools to teach touch-typing in the 5-8th form within IT. • in the lessons • in a subject interest group Katalin Hajdicsné Dr. Varga PhD National University of Public Service Hungary

Why is it worth learning touch-typing? • More efficient work • More favourable position in the labour market • Bad technique in typing may case serius spine defects, stress, permanent headache • The level of digital competences gets higher Katalin Hajdicsné Dr. Varga PhD National University of Public Service Hungary

Adult’s touch-typing competencies • The lack of digital competencies is a disadvantage • Can’t apply for jobs where digital competencies are a must • Don’t even know about the vacancies as recruiters are advertising via the Internet Katalin Hajdicsné Dr. Varga PhD National University of Public Service Hungary

  14. Programs in Hungarian Klavaro http://klavaro.sourceforge.net/hu/ Klavaro is just another free touch typing tutor program. We felt like to do it because we became frustrated with the other options, which relied mostly on some few specific keyboards. Klavaro intends to be keyboard and language independent, saving memory and time (and money). Piarista Mikrobi http://xmikrobi.fw.hu/ Used typing instructor who can be downloaded gratis developed in a Piarist grammar school program.
