Jessica Kahal Performed With Her High School Choir in A Candlelight Memorial for the 9/11 Attacks The tragedy of the September 11th terrorist attacks changed the history of America forever. People not only in the US, but all over the world paid tribute to the victims of the terror attacks which claimed thousands of lives. Every year, students in schools across the states observe the September 11 attacks anniversary with a moment of silence or an outpouring of service. On this emotion-charged date, Jessica Kahal performed with her high school choir, called “Varsity Voices” in a candlelight memorial. In the school’s amphitheater, combined choirs sang “America the Beautiful” and “This Is My County”, directed by Pat Maddaford. Besides that, Jessica also performed “Danny Boy” in a solo flute performance. Many students spoke about their recollections of the September 11th attacks a year prior. It was an emotional evening for everyone present in the school’s amphitheater. Jessica Ashley Kahal’s high school Orchestra has given many notable performances. One of them that won them huge appreciation was the winter concert at the Armstrong Theater. The orchestra program consists of the Chamber Orchestra and the Symphonic Orchestra. The highlights of the program included the Theme from Forest Gump, Schumann’s Symphony No. 1, Movement IV, and the Mozart, Flute Concerto in D Major, Movement I.
