Distance learning & vetting bok • Web-based course a mainstay in academic institutions, corporations & societies • 2 x 4 method of learning replaced by 24/7, multi-media, multi-source method of learning • JITI – Just in Time Information – knowledge made available when needed in the workplace available on the site • Communities of Practice (COP) – web-based environments that leverage shared information and provide a forum to network, share information, ask questions and convene, virtually, around a subject, problem or interest. • Quality control of web information.
