  2. Villages d’Asace In 2019 my entire family (including my grandmother, my aunt and her family) took a trip to Europe. During our 3 weeks there, we traveled through the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and France. While the cathedrals and museums were amazing, my favorite were the small villages in the Alsace wine region of France. We were only able to visit a few, Kaysersburg, Riquewihr and Colmar, but those small towns really captured my heart. It was as if I was transported to a world where time had stopped. People living there enjoyed life the same way they have for generations. The villages were filled with small cobblestone streets and the buildings that lined the streets were from another time, I couldn’t believe they were still standing. Flowers were everywhere. If I were to do a true long-form narrative project, I would go back and explore the entire region. Here are some pictures of some of the streets and buildings I took because I thought they were so pretty.
