Summary of Consultation Responses • Would like to see: • More focus on social and financial issues • Existing building stock • Inclusion of infrastructure • Improved measurement and monitoring of performance • Information sharing • Consideration of adaptation • Would like to see: • Fewer targets • Emphasis on WLC • Promotion of integrated teams • Promotion of national standards • Better regulation • Enforcement of Bldg. Regs • Consistent application of planning standards Strategy for Sustainable Construction Joint Strategy with commitments from HMG and industry

CIC commitments • Development and delivery of a work programme by all 30 member organisations in support of sustainable construction • Development and delivery of a work programme to review training courses with a sustainability content and the associated CPD materials, activities and standards / qualifications • Development of a sustainability charter for the CIC which all members would be required to sign-up to as a condition of membership
