  1. Measurements

  2. How is the equipment used? • To find perimeter, area, volume or length you just take the ruler at the centimeter side and put the end point of the object on zero and see where the object ends. (Measure from tip to tip)

  3. What Equipment is used for Measurements? • Ruler

  4. Linear Length Using a Ruler Label: Cm

  5. Perimeter Distance around an object Using a ruler Formula: P= s + s + s + s Label: Cm

  6. Area Surface space Using a ruler Formula: A=Length x Width Label: Cm2

  7. Volume Amount of space taken up by an object Using a ruler Formula: Volume=Length x Width x Height Label: Cm3

  8. Test Questions • What is the area of a box that is 5 centimeters long and 12 centimeters wide? • What is the perimeter of a 25 centimeter box? • What is the volume if the height is 5 cm, the length is 4 cm, and the width is 6 cm? • What is the formula for Perimeter, Area and Volume? • What is the length of a 4 cm by 4 cm by 4 cm box?

  9. THE END!!!
