  1. 20” Flat Screen (shore) DACNet Server (shore) Port SIIMulator (shore or Rutgers) Server UPS (shore) (4) Hot swap RAID disks

  2. BWDM Media Converter (shore) BWDM Media Converter (COOL SIIM) GigE 12 Port Switch (COOL SIIM) GigE 24 Port Node Subnet Switch (shore)

  3. Notes on comms equipment: - note that the Cisco switch and one of the media converters shown actually go in the COOL SIIM when it is assembled - Media converter (little black box) needs to go in at the main cable termination point - 24 port GigE switch needs to be within 100m of the media converter - Shore station server needs to be within 100m of the 24 port switch

  4. Notes on comms equipment (cont.): - shore GigE switch has 24 10/100/1000 and 4 SFP GBIC ports - these are for the node subnet only (ie port simulator, basin test, node A, node B, server, shore based instruments, user Ethernet instrument control) - extra computer at shore station recommended for each video server in operation - the shore station server has three 10/100/1000 ports (one to the Node Subnet Switch, one to the outside- ie to Rutgers, and one spare) - more detailed information/documentation will be provided on delivery
