  1. Ethan Nwaneri, 15, Becomes Arsenal’s Youngest Premier League Player Against Brentford, Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Ethan Nwaneri made him the youngest player in Premier League history. In stoppage time at Brentford Community Stadium, the English attacking midfielder replaced Fabio Vieira. The record was held by Harvey Elliott until Nwaneri broke it at the age of 15 years and 181 days. In 2019, Elliott was 16 years and 30 days old when he played for Fulham. After 91 minutes and 22 seconds, Nwaneri replaced Fabio Vieria, who had scored the third goal. He played for three minutes and 42 seconds before the game ended. The 16-year-old is the first player under 16 to play in the Premier League. Before the game, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said, “We have opportunities to bring young players on board.”. Opportunities arise when issues arise, since we are pretty short.” Arsenal defeat Brentford to regain the top spot When he was 14, Nwaneri played for England Under-16s and Arsenal Under-18s. After Manchester City and Tottenham won on Saturday, Arsenal returned to the top of the table with their win over Brentford.

  2. At the age of 13 years and 329 days, Northern Irish schoolboy Christopher Atherton became the youngest senior footballer in the United Kingdom. What Is The Story Of Nwaneri? Nwaneri was born on 21 March 2007 after Arsenal moved into Emirates Stadium in 2006, after leaving Highbury. In his short time with the Gunners, he has made a strong impression. When he was 14, he scored a goal against Reading and went on to make an impression with a number of eye-catching performances. His season was originally scheduled to be spent with the Under-18s but he was quickly promoted to Under-21s. He scored 3-0 for England against the Faroe Islands when he came on as a substitute on 8 August. Against Brentford, Arteta was left short of midfield options due to injuries to captain Martin Odegaard and Oleksandr Zinchenko. In response to a question about the moment he decided to send Nwaneri on, Arsenal’s boss explained, “It was a pure gut feeling.” It was great meeting him. Per Mertesacker and the academy staff are giving me great information, as well as Edu. I met him, he’s trained with us a few times. He had to come yesterday because we had injuries, particularly to Martin Odegaard, and then I knew from yesterday that if the opportunity arose I would take it.” In the same way Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka have become young stars at Arsenal, Arsenal fans hope he can continue to develop.
