  1. Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) Herbaceous Wetland Plantings Evaluation Purpose 1. Evaluate herbaceous plantings as part of a diverse WRP restoration plan consistent with HGM plant communities. 2. Evaluate hydrology of planting sites in relation to planting success. 3. Produce field office guidance document in the planning of herbaceous wetland vegetation as part of a WRP plan. a) Provide guidance on desired herbaceous plant species, especially native species. b) Provide guidance on site selection appropriate for herbaceous plants, especially in relation to planned hydrology restoration. c) Provide guidance on site preparation and time of planting, including existing vegetation control. Gmel) d) Soft rush(Juncus effusus L.) 2) Spring and fall plantings evaluation 3) With and without existing vegetation control evaluation 4) Evaluation of planting success in relation to hydrologic zone and seasonal and permanent flooding regimes.
