The IDEA • district project carried out for 4th year in a roll • gather food and hygiene products which are donated to children in orphanages and people in shelters • carried out twice a year- during Easter and Christmas holidays • list of the most needed products by the orphanages • which is included in a leaflet distributed to the clients of a particular store at its entrance • offering them to buy products included in the list which they could donate to the kids

Results of the 4th Christmas Edition of the Project • Varna- RAC Varna- pioneers of this project in Bulgaria • Carrefour and Pikadilli • 847 kilograms of pastry and crackers and nearly 600 kilograms of other products such as pulses, fruits and canned food • donated to children with disabilities from 2 homes and 13 poor families in Varna and the region

Results of the 4th Christmas Edition of the Project • Sofia- seven Rotaract clubs – RAC Sofia, RAC Sofia Vitosha, RAC Sofia Vitosha Izgrev, RAC Sofia - Center, RAC Sofia-Serdika and RAC Tangra and their Interact clubs- the biggest edition ever of this project in Sofia • 6 supermarkets from the chains- METRO, HIT and Picadilli • over 7 tons of goods such as rice, lentils, beans, sugar, flour, pasta, marmalade, meat, fruits, canned food, liquid soap and many other food and hygiene products were collected • overall value of collected goods in Sofia- approx EUR 13,500

  6. Donation • donated to over 200 people in 10 institutions- orphanages, shelters and social kitchens.
