  3. Why should we recycle? Keeps the environment clean Keeps the garbage pile down

  4. What do these containers become? New cans Clothes

  5. Insulation for homes & White and yellow paint for the streets Returned to the beer companies and used again

  6. cardboard boxes Scrap metal and rebar

  7. What do we recycle at NorQuest College?

  8. What is good recycling? • Take the caps off the bottles • Put the caps in the garbage

  9. Leave the tabs on the pop cans

  10. Empty the bottles, cans and juice boxes

  11. Rinse out the containers

  12. Leave the labels on the bottles

  13. What is bad recycling? • Don’t crush the bottles or cans

  14. Don’t put any food or food containers

  15. Don’t put your gum, coffee cups or straws

  16. Don’t spit

  17. Recycling at home! Bottle Depot

  18. The money will be used for two things • Charity or Westmount student fund to pay for field trip busses • Our class gets to keep some of the money

  19. Remember Blue recycling bin for drink containers Black bin for garbage
