ASSETS Not only do you need to verify the death, either through an obituary or death cert./announcement but you need to make sure that there is not an estate/assets that can be attached for payment. Probate (Document, document, document)

  10. What is the only reason we have to re-0pen a case that closed for unable to locate the ncp? New locate information Many times a CP does not want the case closed even though there has not been any locate in three years. In the past some CP's have reapplied to have the case reopened. Per FCR, the only reason we would need to reopen the case is if she has new locate information.
